Control media players using simple basic gestures(movements of hands)

Flutter is a gesture recognition technology startup based in San Francisco, California, United States (US). Founded by Navneet Dalal and Mehul Nariyawala, the company received early-stage funding from Y Combinator and was acquired by Google in October 2013.

The company's first product "Flutter App" allowed users to control apps such as iTunes, Spotify, VLC, and QuickTime using hand gestures. The app utilizes gesture recognition technology that works with the webcam on a user's computer. Instead of requiring separate hardware, such as Microsoft’s Kinect, Flutter makes use of the built-in webcam to recognize the gestures of a person's hands between one and six feet away.

Best audio editor to remove vocals of any soundtrack and extract only the melody(music)

Audacity is a free, easy-to-use, multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux and other operating systems. The interface is translated into many languages. in this post I'd like to tell how to remove vocals of mp3, wav or any other audio format.

Steps:

1. Download and install Audacity.
2. Open the audio file which you want to remove vocals.
3. Go to Effect menu in menu bar.
4. Click on v(down arrow) to find vocal remover in the dropdown list.
5. Click on vocal remover(for center-panned vocals)
6. Cilck ok (you can change the properties as you prefer)
7. Then File >>> Export to save the file.

That's all you have to do.

Optical character recognition, usually abbreviated to OCR, is the mechanical or electronic conversion of scanned or photographed images of typewritten or printed text into machine-encoded/computer-readable text. It is widely used as a form of data entry from some sort of original paper data source, whether passport documents, invoices, bank statement, receipts, business card, mail, or any number of printed records. It is a common method of digitizing printed texts so that they can be electronically edited, searched, stored more compactly, displayed on-line, and used in machine processes such as machine translation, text-to-speech, key data extraction and text mining. OCR is a field of research in pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and computer vision.

Early versions needed to be programmed with images of each character, and worked on one font at a time. "Intelligent" systems with a high degree of recognition accuracy for most fonts are now common. Some commercial systems are capable of reproducing formatted output that closely approximates the original scanned page including images, columns and other non-textual components.

Control the mouse pointer on your computer screen just by moving your head [7MB]

This is a free program that enables you to control the mouse pointer on your computer screen just by moving your head. To activate, please move the rectangle to the head or eyes or etc.. If you want to click on a file please take the mouse pointer to it and then hold 2 seconds. If you want to double click on a file please click double click icon on the software using clicking method and then take the mouse pointer to the file and then hold 2 seconds.

How does Camera Mouse work?

Camera Mouse 2014 Be sure the computer is on a table or desktop rather than on your lap or the bed. You need to have a built-in webcam or standard USB webcam on or near the monitor so it is pointing at you. Start up Camera Mouse. Your moving image will appear in the Camera Mouse window. Use the mouse to click on a feature on your face to track. Some unique area of the face. We usually use the inside edge of an eyebrow or eye or the area between the nose and the mouth. A small green square appears at the feature being tracked. As you move your head the square moves with it in the image. Now press the Ctrl key or the F9 key or just wait for 4 seconds without moving the mouse ("Auto start"). The Camera Mouse program takes over control of the mouse pointer on the screen. As you move your head the mouse pointer moves accordingly. If you move the mouse itself (or press the Ctrl key or F9 key) the control returns to the mouse. You can adjust the settings by clicking on the Camera Mouse Settings button at the bottom of the window. Here you can change the gains and turn on clicking. Clicking is done using "dwell time," by holding the mouse pointer within a small area of the screen for a second or two. Or you can click in the regular way using the mouse button or a switch. People learn to use Camera Mouse quite quickly.
